Thomas Strohmeier

I am Thomas Strohmeier, a third year in Aerospace Engineering. I am from East Alton, Illinois. My role on the team is Chief Executive Officer. My favorite memory on the team was pulling late nights and early mornings working on both the design and assembly of the Maverick Drone. Getting my own project as a freshman was a great way to get involved and made me feel like an integral part of the team.

COO

My name is Alen Avdic, I am a Junior currently majoring in Computer Science and Computer Engineering, and I am from Oakville, Missouri. I am the COO, and my duties involve taking care of a lot of different operational responsibilities which have to do with the team, such as keeping track of team attendance, flight and work days, Student Council, and anything else that happens to pop up. One of my favorite memories was going to BWW after a work day and suffering through the hottest wings they had (with some ice cream).

I am Luc LaRocca, a junior in mechanical engineering, and I am from St. Louis. I am the Chief Technical Officer, and my role is CTO, which means managing technical deadlines and projects. One of my favorite memories while on Multirotor was watching Phineas and Ferb at 4am while building one of our drones.

My name is Madelynn Adams, I am a sophomore in IS&T, and I am from Cape Girardeau. I am the Chief Financial Officer, and am in charge of creating and keeping us on budget, making team purchases, and organizing fundraising events. One of my favorite memories on Multirotor was getting to be the director of our drone reveal! It was so rewarding getting to see the teams hard work pay off as we showed off our new drone.

Davis Donovan
Chief Software Engineer

My name is Davis Donovan, I’m a senior in Computer Engineering, and I’m from Bloomington IL. My role on the team is Chief Software Engineer, which involves leading the Software team that codes the flight logic for the drones, the computer vision that is used to recognize objects from the camera while flying, and simulation to test and develop the drone farther. I manage the tools used for creating correct and efficient Python code, perform product management to ensure deadlines are met, and guide developers with proper resources and connections to others. One of my favorite memories on the team was when Luke Myszka still didn’t know Alen’s name after over a semester of working together. So, we continued to call Alen by the wrong name for the rest of the year.

Chief Hardware Engineer

My name is Zach Warhoover, I’m a Junior studying Mechanical Engineering and am from Ballwin, Missouri. I am the Chief Hardware Engineer. That means is I manage all the hardware projects, like the design and manufacturing of our competition drones. My favorite memory on the team is going to SUAS in 2024 and seeing the drone that we spent over a year developing actually fly and compete against teams from around the world.
